Marcelo Schor, president and CEO of Amidax Trading Group (ATG), began his international trade and finance career in 1982 at Israel Discount Bank and Bank Hapoalim, Ltd., New York, where he served the private banking needs of clients from South America. It was during his years in private international banking that he saw the struggles that small- to medium-sized U.S. manufacturers often faced in trying to establish footholds in foreign markets, dominated by large corporations with in-house export divisions and their own foreign subsidiaries.
In 1995 Schor founded Amidax Trading Group with the mission of managing and promoting the export of U.S. manufacturers whose size makes it difficult if not impossible to maintain dedicated export divisions of their own. Mr. Schor believes, and has proven, that manufacturers like these have unique advantages in a global marketplace where customers put a premium on flexibility and responsiveness as well as customer service. The Amidax Trading Group team, with their understanding of manufacturers’ business needs as well as foreign markets and a personal approach to customer relations, help small to medium sized U.S. manufacturers leverage their size-advantage and grow international markets for their products.
Lucy Stover-Schor, after working in an Archeological firm for over 15 years, decided to join Marcelo Schor with the growing demands of Amidax Trading Group. Mrs. Stover-Schor, assumed the entire financial aspect of the company, coordinating invoicing , accounting, banking as well as documentation for shipments. Today Amidax Trading Group is an innovative, customer-focused export management company with distribution channels in more than 32 countries on four continents. US manufacturers rely on our experienced staff to manage all of their international distribution needs, from market research and advertising to shipping and logistics, customs and billing. Amidax Trading Group contributes to private charities a share of the profits.
